Parish Events
Below are a few notable event descriptions.
Annual Congregational Meeting
On the first Sunday in February, we gather for brunch and fellowship, followed by reports from the Vestry, the election of new Vestry members and Diocesan convention delegates, and presentations and commendations.
Blessing of the Animals
On the Sunday nearest St. Francis’ Day in October, we welcome all pets to either of our Sunday morning service at 10 am where they will receive a blessing… and maybe a treat at coffee hour!
N.O.E.L. Christmas Outreach
The “Nothing Other than Eating and Loving” outreach program assembles and distributes food packages to those in need which are filled with everything needed to prepare a festive Christmas meal. They offer a package for those who have access to cooking facilities and a different package for those who do not. Toiletries, winter hats, mittens and gloves are also given out. This annual holiday tradition is supported by people from across Worcester County and beyond.
Holy Week
We hold liturgies on both Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. This year, we had a Last Supper-type soup and salad meal in Dewees Hall with Holy Communion, followed by the stripping of the Altar. On Good Friday, we offered the Good Friday Liturgy with the Stations of the Cross.
Fundraising Dinners
Themed dinners held to support for a specific need of the church. Our most recent was an Authentic Italian Dinner.
Parish Fellowship Dinner
Dinners held throughout the year in both DeWees Hall at our Third Street Campus and MacMullin Hall at our West Campus, for the sole purpose of fellowship.
