About

St. Paul’s by-the-Sea is a vibrant Episcopal church in the heart of Ocean City, a seaside resort town on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. One of the town’s oldest churches, St. Paul’s has a long history of ministry to vacationers and year-round residents.

Located just steps from the famous Ocean City boardwalk, St. Paul’s by-the-Sea enjoys strong ties to the local community. Three days a week, our Shepherd’s Crook food pantry opens its doors in our DeWees hall, offering food and fellowship to anyone in need. Other outreach and community events are held throughout the year, including the popular N.O.E.L. Dinner, and Labyrinth walks.

St. Paul’s parish family is enriched by a variety of prayer and worship services and fellowship events. If you are new to Ocean City, we hope you will drop by for a visit. A warm welcome awaits you.

During COVID, the Vestry invested in a high-quality video broadcasting system allowing for the streaming of our services. We now offer in-person and/or virtual services for Sundays as well as every special service. Time and distance are no longer an impediment to connecting our Church with current and previous parishioners.

Located just steps from the Atlantic Ocean, St. Paul’s by-the-Sea has
been ministering to Ocean City residents and visitors for over a century.
