Confirmation

Those desiring to be confirmed must be baptized and have completed a course of instruction. Since people come to a ‘mature’ faith at different ages we don’t set a minimum age requirement for confirmation. Rather. we require that those interested in confirmation participate in the instruction offered and then when it is concluded they, in discernment with the Rector, will decide whether confirmation is an appropriate step in their spiritual journey.

Confirmation is performed by a Bishop with the laying on of hands. The Bishop’s annual visit is also the time when those who wish to be received into the Episcopal Church or to make a public reaffirmation of their faith do so.

If you are interested in confirmation, reaffirmation of faith, or being received into The Episcopal Church please contact the church office and ask to speak with the Rector.
