In conversation with the senior and junior warden, and office manager, we have come to the decision that  THE CELEBRATION OF THE EUCHARIST AT 8 AM AND 10 AM ON SUNDAY, JANUARY 8, IS CANCELLED.

Further, The Red Doors Community Gala is postponed to SUNDAY, JANUARY 8, FROM 5 PM TO 9 PM, still at Fager’s Island.

Finally, the funeral for Charles Colbourne, Joy Connor’s father, is postponed to MONDAY,JANUARY 9, AT 2 PM, still at the Powellville Volunteer Fire Company.

Remember, shoveling snow is a great exertion, especially if you have a heart condition. Do not shovel your own snow unless you are very healthy. It is smarter to shovel in shifts, rather than to wait until the end of the storm and shovel the entire thing. I am sure that your community will have groups offering to shovel you out after the storm passes.

In addition, there is considerable ice in the forecast as part of the storm. Be sure that you consider the safety of your surroundings before you venture out.
