The Vestry is pleased to announce that the Reverend Jill Williams has accepted the call to serve as our new Priest in Charge. Pastor Jill will be joining us on Monday, May 1, to begin leading our parish as we pursue our mission to “Love God and Serve the World”.
Pastor Williams comes to us from the Diocese of Newark where she recently served as Priest in Charge of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in northern New Jersey. She has previously served churches in Ridgewood, New Jersey and Baltimore, Maryland. She is a graduate of the Virginia Theological Seminary. Prior to entering seminary, Pastor Jill was a teacher in the Baltimore County Schools.
Pastor Jill shared this message with us. “I am so blessed to be joining this wonderful community as we continue to live out our vibrant and loving faith. I am excited to get to know everyone and walk through this life together. I can’t wait to see what God is going to do with us all!” Pastor Williams’ first worship service will be Sunday, May 7 at 10:00 a.m.
St. Paul’s by-the-Sea has been an iconic presence and vibrant force in downtown Ocean City since the end of the 19th Century. We hope to continue that tradition with the leadership of Pastor Jill. Please join with me and the Vestry in giving her a warm welcome to our parish.
Sincerely,
Tom Shuster, Senior Warden
