Shepherd’s Crook has relocated to a new unit at 205 South Baltimore Avenue (across from St. Mary’s Church). The “Crook” is now open 5 days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. St. Peter’s Lutheran Church at 103rd Street and Coastal Highway offers lunch and food goods on Wednesdays. The Atlantic United Methodist Church, St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, The Church of the Holy Spirit, The First Presbyterian Church of Ocean City and Ocean City Baptist Church have joined together with Saint Paul’s by-the-Sea to unite the food ministry in this one location.
Shepherd’s Crook is no longer providing clothing or taking clothing donations. Clothing can be obtained at the Atlantic Methodist Church on Baltimore Avenue and 4th Street, the Ocean City Baptist Church Thrift Shop (behind the Outlets near the Seaside Christian Academy) and Shepherd’s Nook (on the campus of the Community Church on Rt. 589 in Ocean Pines). Clothing donations can also be dropped off at these locations. Both Atlantic United Methodist Church and Ocean City Baptist Church have 24-hour drop-off locations.
Shepherd’s Crook was recently honored by the Worcester County Commissioners with the Faith-Based Volunteer Spirit Award of Worcester County for their work in the Ocean City Community.
