Pledging is Joyful:
Because we are participating in the work of God. The deepest joy comes from doing that which we were created to do…partnering with God in the transformation of the world.
Pledging is a reminder that in all things God comes first.
We are called to give of our abundance not from what is left over. Giving to God through the life and ministry of the Church establishes the right priorities for all of life
Pledging is a way of living a life of Christian Discipleship
Giving to God from all that we have been given is about offering to God the “first fruits” of our lives financially, in our time and with our abilities.
Strengthens and makes possible all the opportunities we provide for spiritual formation, prayer, worship and education throughout the year.
Supports the parish and its ministries to the poor and those in need in our community, around the Eastern Shore, across our nation and in many parts of the world.
You can make your financial pledge in several different ways.
Some make a one-time payment in advance. Others make a a one-time payment at the end of the year. Some pay quarterly or at other regular intervals. Others pay intermittently as they attend worship. You can also fulfill your pledge by placing checks or cash in weekly offering envelopes.
A pledge is non-binding. While we are immensely proud of the almost 100% pledge fulfillment rate at SPBTS in recent years we also understand that life circumstances can change. You are free to adjust, or even cancel, your pledge at any time.

We hope to be able to offer both online pledging and online giving in the near future. Please contact the office (410-289-3453) if you would be interested in either of these options.
As we continue to serve the community it is our desire to develop a strong planned giving strategy to ensure the future of St. Paul’s by-the Sea for its current and future ministries. If you are interested in supporting either the St. Paul’s By-The-Sea Memorial Fund ( in memory of a loved one) or The St. Paul’s By-The-Sea Foundation please contact the church office and ask to speak with the Rector.
