Ocean Cluster Picnic

The Ocean Cluster has become involved with the Hope4Recovery House, a halfway house for men who are in recovery from addiction. As part of our involvement, we provide dinner for the residents once a month and stay to share in the meal with them. The dinner is on the third Sunday of the month (unless something else is happening that Sunday, such as Father’s Day, then the dinner moves to the fourth Sunday). Each church is scheduled on a rotating basis to bring the main course and sides, or salad and bread, or dessert, for approximately 20 people (the residents, any of us who stay to eat, leftovers for later in the week).
Making an entrée for 20 people could be a lot to ask of one person so help would be most welcome.
If you would like to be a part but aren’t interested in the aspect of preparing food, supplies such as paper towels or napkins, paper plates, zipper bags or other containers for storing leftovers are always welcome. You could also just come for the fellowship.
The food arrives at 4 p.m. The House is located in the old Shirley Grace Pregnancy Center at 10226 Old Ocean City Boulevard in Berlin (across from the Barrett Medical Office Building).
